In Lok Sabha discussion on the Union Budget began. Some of the policy highlights in the Budget
were raised by members during the discussion. Members discussed larger policies like Make in
India, JAM trinity, foreign investment among others. Questions about allocation to MPLADs and
growth estimates of the government, devolution to states were also commonly raised by several members.
Rajya Sabha continued discussing the Railway Budget today.
This was the third day for which the railway budget was discussed. A number of
members spoke about the issue today. Until Friday a total of 21 members had
participated in the debate. Decision was taken that the discussion will
continue tomorrow and the Minister will reply in the afternoon.
Additionally the Border Security Force (Amendment) Bill,
2011 was withdrawn from the upper house.
A short duration discussion on the agrarian crisis in the
country as included in the list of business on March 4, 2015 has not yet been
taken up by the House.
