A Special session of Parliament was scheduled to be held from September 18, 2023 to September 22, 2023. It was adjourned sine die on September 21, 2023. Question hour and zero hour were not scheduled for this session.Lok Sabha worked for 137% of its scheduled time and Rajya Sabha for 128%. Only one Bill, the Constitution (One Hundred and Twenty-Eighth Amendment) Bill, 2023, was introduced and passed during this session. The Bill provides for reservation to women in Lok Sabha and State Assemblies. Five Bills were listed for consideration and passing as part of the agenda for the session, however, none of them were taken up during the session. |
