The 2023 Budget session of Parliament was scheduled to be held from January 31, 2023 to April 6, 2023. Both Houses cancelled their sitting on March 31, 2023. Lok Sabha worked for 33% of its scheduled time and Rajya Sabha for 24% (only accounting for actual sitting days). Excluding the Appropriation and Finance Bills, three Bills were introduced in the session, and one was passed. The Forest (Conservation) Amendment Bill, 2023 was referred to a Joint Parliamentary Committee after introduction. |
