The Constitutional 122nd Amendment Bill,
2014 to roll out Goods and Services Tax was sent to a Select Committee
today by the Upper House. The Committee will submit its report by the

While
Rajya Sabha saw frequent disruptions, members sought clarifications
from the Minister of Transport with regard to the findings in the CAG
Report.
Lok
Sabha saw brief disruptions after the Minister of Food Processing
replied on the issue of the Amethi food park. Lok Sabha was also
briefly disrupted as opposition members raised objections for taking up
the Land Acquisition (Amendment) Second Bill for consideration.
A Statutory Resolution disapproving Land Acquisition Ordinance was also raised by a number of members in the lower house.
The
Land Acquisition (Amendment) Second Bill has been sent to a Joint
Parliamentary Committee for detailed scrutiny. The Committee comprises
20 Lok Sabha and 10 Rajya Sabha members. The Committee will submit its
report by the first day of the first week of the next Session.
