PRS Parliament Diary
Winter Session-II: February 10, 2014
The fourth day of the extended Winter Session of Parliament saw the Lok Sabha and
Rajya Sabha continue to be interrupted by disruptions over Telangana and other
issues.
The Rajya Sabha bulletin on
Friday had named ten Members for gross disorderly conduct in the
form of entering the Well of the House and persistent and wilful obstruction of
the proceedings of the House. However, disruptions continued today. When
Rajya Sabha met in the morning, Mr. Birendra Prasad Baishya, MP from Assam, raised the issue of the rape of a minor
Manipuri girl in New Delhi.
He was unable to finish speaking on the issue as the House continued to get
disrupted. Rajya Sabha met again at noon
and 2:00 pm, but had to adjourn because of disruptions.
The Lok Sabha started with Question Hour in the morning, but the House
adjourned before Minister Veerappa Moily could finish answering a question on
