Parliament met for the 16th sitting of the Winter Session today.

In
Lok Sabha, The Public Premises (Eviction of Unauthorised Occupants)
Amendment Bill, 2014 was passed. Two Bills, not originally listed in the
list of business for the day, were introduced in Lok Sabha. These were:

·         The National Capital Territory of Delhi Laws (Special Provisions) Second (Amendment) Bill, 2014

·         The Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Bill, 2014

Bills have been introduced or moved for consideration and passing in
this Session through supplementary notices (they had not been listed in
the original list of business for the day). A list of all Bills
introduced, or moved for consideration and passing through supplementary
notices is given in the table below.

No
legislative business could be undertaken in Rajya Sabha today which was
adjourned repeatedly over the issue of reported religious conversions.

Productivity
of Lok Sabha for the first three weeks cumulatively is at 101%, while
for Rajya Sabha it is at 72%. In these three weeks, Question Hour
functioned in Lok Sabha for 77% of the allotted time, while it
functioned in Rajya Sabha for 37% of the allotted time. The Rajya Sabha
Chairman has listed the names of MPs for gross disorderly conduct in
violation of rules and etiquette of Rajya Sabha for 9 sittings in this
Session so far.
