Parliament met for the eigth sitting of the Winter Session
today.
In Lok Sabha, the
School of Planning and Architecture Bill, 2014 was passed. The Bill declares
Schools of Planning and Architecture as institutions of national importance.
The
Repealing and Amending (Second) Bill, 2014 was also
introduced in Lok Sabha today. This Bill will seek to repeal those
enactments which have ceased to be in force or have become obsolete.
Rajya Sabha was repeatedly adjourned again and was unable to
take up legislative business.
As of Tuesday, December 2nd, Lok Sabha's productivity was at
96% while Rajya Sabha's productivity was at 75%. In the same time frame,
Question Hour functioned for 65% of the time in Lok Sabha and 18% of the time
in Rajya Sabha.
