The 2022 Winter Session of the Parliament commenced today with Mr. Jagdeep Dhankhar officiating as the Chairman of Rajya Sabha.
16 new Bills are on the session agenda for introduction, consideration and passing. This includes the Forest (Conservation) Amendment Bill, 2022 and the National Nursing and Midwifery Commission Bill, 2022. The Bill to amend the Multi-State Co-operative Societies Act, 2002 was introduced in the Lok Sabha today.
Three Bills which were earlier referred to the Standing Committees and for which reports have been tabled are also expected to be taken up during the session:
