Rajya Sabha concurred with the motion moved in Lok Sabha, on Wednesday, to refer the Bill on The Personal Data Protection Bill, 2019 to a Joint Parliamentary Committee. The motion was adopted and the Joint Parliamentary Committee has been asked to submit a report by the first day of the last week of the 2020 Budget Session.
The House also discussed and passed The Constitution (One Hundred and Twenty-Sixth Amendment) Bill, 2019 The Constitution provides for reservation of seats for SCs and STs and representation of the Anglo-Indian community by nomination, in Lok Sabha and State Legislative Assemblies for 70 years until Jan 25, 2020. The Bill extends the reservation for SCs and STs by another 10 years.

Lok Sabha took up the Central Sanskrit Universities Bill, 2019 for consideration and passing. The bill converts three deemed to be Universities into Central Sanskrit Universities. Discussions were ongoing at the time of sending this email.
The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (Second Amendment) Bill, 2019 was earlier introduced in Lok Sabha. The House had also concluded the discussion on crop loss due to various reasons and its impact on farmers.
